WHW Day3: Rowardennan to Inverarnan

Blistering barnacles, Bertha's tail-end bellowed. We opted not to wade through sheet rain for hours on end and made our way to Inverarnan by ferryboat and coach. We didn't feel that we're missing out as we'd walked to Inversnaid falls and Rob Roy's cave on a previous trip around Loch Lomond, which incidentally provided us with the impetus to walk the WHW.

We took the Lomond Warrior ferryboat from the Rowardennan SYHA jetty to Luss.

Bed and Board, 5 flies p/n. We noticed throughout our trip that Scottish birds are a pampered lot.

Our coach dropped us off right in front of the Drover's Inn, where we stopped for a hot meal and a lazy afternoon.

We'd booked our accommodation at Beinglas Farm in advance as we were using a luggage transfer service. Do heed the advice about booking accommodation in advance. On a number of days we overheard the conversations of anxious walkers who were having trouble finding a place to stay.
