After the hour was out the count stood at:

• 2 wren
• 2 coal tits
• 2 blackbirds
• 2 dunnock
• 2 robins
• 3 blue tit
• 3 chaffinch
• 3 wood pigeon
• 3 house sparrows
• 4 crows
• 5 magpies

... a squirrel and a rat (where be those quick brown foxes?).
