A Lovely Day for The Ducks

Strangefruit: Horsetail strobili
Despite the soggy gloom that has descended upon this isle, we spent the day at the London Wetland Centre and marvelled at the rampant goose grass and horsetail. We wage war on both on plot 57b where the sight of a horsetail strobilus and the thought of spore streaming out over our tended tilth would strike a great panic. Mercy!

We ♥ willow.

The fritillary meadow was the highlight of the trip.

Motivation, to mend and extend the provision for the creepy crawlies of plot 57b.

Berkely Bat House. A reminder we should be doing something to mark the Year of the Bat.

We purchased some Bistort and Ragged Robin to make our pond more wild and wetland - it's a pity there is no room for ducks to dabble.
